Transition Management

There are several different circumstances that may dictate the need to transition assets from one investment account to another. The most common circumstances include the termination and hiring of investment managers, rebalancing between asset classes, large cash contributions, plan mergers, and asset allocation changes within a fund.

In recent years there has been increased recognition of the potential value that can be created through an efficiently executed transition, as well as increased scrutiny of the process as a whole. We assist our clients throughout every step of the transition process, from notifying new and old managers of the upcoming movement, to helping select a transition manager and monitoring the actual cash and security movements, to summarizing the transition and analyzing its success.
